Acalog™ has already revolutionized the management of academic catalogs at more than 160 top colleges and universities. Now, with the Enterprise version of this powerful e-catalog engine, we solve the enormous challenge facing college and university systems to support and enforce a shared set of common courses (or any other information) across multiple independent campuses.
With the standard version of the Acalog™, an institution deploys a single instance of the Acalog™ administrative interface, called Publisher, and a single e-catalog portal, the Gateway, which is integrated with the school's Website.
In the Enterprise version, a special system-level catalog is created to serve as a repository for shared content. This catalog is never published. However, specified portions of the system-level catalog can be referenced, and passed in read-only format into any number of individual college catalogs, each with their own branded Gateway — and even with unique degree plans based on a common set of courses. Update the shared content, such as a course in the system-level catalog, and all linked college catalogs are updated instantly.
This unique solution is already in place at The Alamo Colleges (five colleges sharing common courses), at Florida State College in Jacksonville (two colleges sharing a common catalog), and soon at the University of South Carolina (shared catalog content across eight campuses and two professional schools).
